I just caught five minutes of Richard & Judy. They were doing one of those panel discussion things on whether Britain was a 'glum' place to be right now. You know the kind of thing, vox pop footage of members of the public measuring the nation's happiness on a hastily arranged 'Glumomoter'. An entirely pointless bit of TV, made bearable only by the following exchange between Ted Robbins (who, TV wise, is only ever seen on R&J's panel discussions) and Arthur Smith:
Arthur: "Well, it's not all bad, at least Paris Hilton's been let out of prison, poor girl"
Ted: "We've got our own Paris Hilton up north, you know? Her name's Wigan Travelodge!"
Arthur: "Christ Ted, do you have to just keep doing material - can't you just talk like a human being?"
