It’s one thing them being shit, which they undoubtedly are. Talentless, crass, idiotic posthuman ciphers, the pair of them: we should be very afraid that they’re reproducing. But it’s not them I’m confused about tonight - and I am confused.
It started with me receiving texts from two friends, both directing me to the new P&J (or is it K) video ‘A Whole New World’ on YouTube. They, my pals, were in disbelief at the ridiculousness of the video, the song etc. So, I checked it out. Predictably bad and all that; totally fucking stupid. Thing is, though, my beef isn’t with vaccuous ‘celebrities’. I’m so fucking jaded by this shit now that I expect no less of mainstream pop music. No, my beef is with ‘the people’. Do you realise that people actually buy into this shit? Go to YouTube, look up the video in question. Watch it, by all means - it’s piss-yourself funny - but then just check out the comments. In amongst the bilious outpourings of (amongst others) my friends, there are rakes of comments left by people proclaiming P&J to be “amazing…a georgeous couple…so romantic” and so on.
Just who are these fucking people? I’m beginning to think these are the real enemy. I mean, at least those two plastic fools are making money out of their ridiculousness. I can see that twattishness is a good career move for them. This burgeoning sector of society though, seemingly ready and willing to buy absolutely any old crap that’s put in front of them; they’re going to finish us all off.
